I am very fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best people in Second Life. Not only are my friends fun to be around, but they're also very smart! It is one such smart person that pointed me in the direction of Visiwa. I had been hearing her tell me about this sim, and that I must get over there to explore and drop a landmark out to you all, but I was dragging my feet for one reason or another, and then something would come up and I just forgot it.

Thanks for hanging in there with the group!! I've recently been so busy with the new sim/ game/ movie/experience of Carmina, that I've had a hard time keeping up with LMs of the Day! A few have passed my IM window and I'd like to pass these along to you all. Enjoy and see you around the grid!

Crossing Currents and Crossing Currents II

Whenver Dizzy Banjo sends me somewhere I usually end up letting you all know about a new LM of the Day. After a quick tour of Cocos Island, a virtual tourism project for the Costa Rica Tourist Board, I knew that I had to get this to you sooner rather than later. I love seeing new places in SL, and I particularly love it when they engage all my senses. Not only are my eyes catching all the lovely creations of Grace Loudon, but my ears are thoroughly absorbed as Dizzy's created a soundtrack here for the two sim build. The underwater work of Kaikou Splash can also be seen here, as he's contributed one of the largest undersea S.C.U.B.A. locations in SL.

According to Wagner James Au, Second Life is "...an Impression Society,
where any cultural, economic, or social contribution is valued in
direct proportion to its organic creative flair and sustained
effects."  In other words, appearance is everything.

I discovered Eccentricity while visiting Whimsy and I found a wonderful couple of sims being built. I messaged the owner, Leaf Shermer. She mentioned to me that she would be finished building in a few days and to message her back!

Recently I was introduced to a wonderful place called Dive World. Another of Lord Coalcliff's suggestions, but once there I realized I was acquainted with the builder, Kaikou Splash, of Splash Aquatics.

Lord Coalcliff handed me this really neat notecard the other day with some LMs for me to go visit. I told him I would definately check out the places, and quite possibly blog them!

The first place on this list that made me take great notice and think "Wow...this would be a great LM of the Day" was Whimsy. As this sign says "Odd, fanciful, capricious, flighty, unpredictable...Welcome to the sim with a sense of humor."

Live the Island Life...... Enjoy the Live Music. Events...Haven's Paradise. I first came across Haven Colville's venue way back in my early days of wanderings, even before LM of the Day was a feature. I reconnected recently when I was searching for some live music and was reminded what a great place Haven's Paradise is! Here's an excerpt from notecard from Haven himself!

Cocololo is a beautiful sim designated to relaxing your soul after a long week! I dedicate this LM to my dear friend BB who needs a trip to the spa, where she can relax bye the luxurious lounge, near plants and flowers from paradise or enjoy taking a sunbath under the beautiful sky.
