Third World- serenity, beauty, escape

Jenn at Third World landing spot

So I'm sure you maybe thought, "will this site ever be active again?" Maybe you've even taken it off your RSS feed list. While I cannot promise you quanity, I still hold true to my quality promise. Plus, it's much easier to find things in world now, than it was several years ago. What once was a good idea, to get quality landmarks to a handful of friends, still remains a good idea, I just keep looking for the ones that really strike me as worthy of sending to you!

Dresden Gallery

Dresden Gallery--Friday, August 24, 2007 LM of the Day (archived from Best of Second Life Blog) Dresden Gallery is a fabulous site for a number of reasons. First it is very big.Part of the plan seems to be to have some space all around so the Gallery can't be overwhelmed by malls and clubs. Second it is very beautiful and a faithful reproduction of the original architecture.Third, it has some fabulous art on display -- and the reproductions seem to be high quality. Anyone interested in seeing a state-of-the-art SL version of a RL place will enjoy a visit. THANKS Em Jannings for another great place! http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dresden%20Gallery/81/120/361

*UPDATED APRIL 11, 2009* Many new improvements have been made to Dresden!

Amsterdam

Amsterdam--Escher Artwork Gallery--Saturday, August 18, 2007 LM of the Day ( (archived from Best of Second Life Blog) Thanks Em Jannings for sending us to this one! Em says:"A gallery of the works of M. Escher. Looks to be inside a church -- in New Amsterdam, which is considerably tamer than the riotous old version, though the ladies still work in a limited section.Anyway, the Escher exhibit is insulated from all that and worth seeing for fans of his art.

*UPDATE April 11, 2009*  Since writing this back in August of 2007, it seems that the Escher Gallery is not there anymore, but Amsterdam is!
