Third World- serenity, beauty, escape

Jenn at Third World landing spot

So I'm sure you maybe thought, "will this site ever be active again?" Maybe you've even taken it off your RSS feed list. While I cannot promise you quanity, I still hold true to my quality promise. Plus, it's much easier to find things in world now, than it was several years ago. What once was a good idea, to get quality landmarks to a handful of friends, still remains a good idea, I just keep looking for the ones that really strike me as worthy of sending to you!

Visiwa-Swahili for "The Islands"

I am very fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best people in Second Life. Not only are my friends fun to be around, but they're also very smart! It is one such smart person that pointed me in the direction of Visiwa. I had been hearing her tell me about this sim, and that I must get over there to explore and drop a landmark out to you all, but I was dragging my feet for one reason or another, and then something would come up and I just forgot it.

Selidor Island

According to Wagner James Au, Second Life is "...an Impression Society,
where any cultural, economic, or social contribution is valued in
direct proportion to its organic creative flair and sustained
effects."  In other words, appearance is everything.

SICK!

There are various interpret -ations of "fun" in a place like Second Life. It's fun to shop; it's fun to explore; it's fun to build; it's fun to get together with friends and chat; it's fun to, you know [wink, wink, nudge, nudge]; and for those who appreciate the artistic side of a graphics environment and the time and effort that goes into creating a unique space, it's fun to wander around in a great build.

Madhu's Cafe

Madhu's Cafe is a mellow place for friends and acquaintances to meet, greet and get to know one another.  This cafe in the sky has a distinctly Indian flair while offering a traditional coffeehouse attitude - laid back, relaxed and friendly. Enjoy the authentic music stream as you sip masala chai from the bar, partake of the hookah or simply relax near a roaring fire. For a little privacy, there is a set of three Taj domes floating nearby, as well as a secluded TV room. People are always coming and going here, so you're sure to meet interesting people at Madhu's.

Italia Vera

More of Beautiful Italy to See!    Italy!(Again)This is a work in progress, but much of it is complete...from one of the creators..."[A 24 Sim Project]...The project will reproduce the main Italian towns...The first to be opened next are Milan and Marostica...The idea is to give strong realism and introduce real life content" http://www.slnn.com/article/italia-vera/  http://fantasilandia.wordpress.com/category/territorio-e-creativita/I don't speak Italian, so navigating around with the TP machines was like flying blind, but almost more fun! Enjoy-- Ciao!
