Long time SLTTD supporters Jesper and Ewa sent me a little note today to inform me of some work they have been up to! And just by watching the video (shown below) I really think we're all in for quite a treat. Sarek and Ice Hotel (direct TP) in Second Life offers a full Swedish vacation experience! Go visit there today, and if you see Jesper and Ewa, tell them hello from SLTTD!
One of the most beautiful places I have visited in Second Life. Just go! Stop reading and go! http://slurl.com/secondlife/Garden%20of%20dreams/126/102/91 (direct SLurl). And please submit pictures to the SLTTD Flickr group! This is a most photographic place...if you're into photography in SL, you will surely love this place. The creators of this location did not leave out a single details...for lovers, friends and the photographer in all of us!
Andrew Wyeth was one of the first artists for me, in my memory, that actually put me in the painting. I was a little girl, probably 5 or 6 years old, and we had print of Christina's World above an old green chest where we kept candles and placemats. I remember getting the fancy placemats out of the chest of drawers, and wondering about Christina. How old was she? Was she sad? Did she live in that house, or want to live there? Did the grass tickle her arms as it blew in the breeze?

Sunday mornings. I've written about these times before. SL is a lovely retreat of solitude and quiet on a Sunday morning, especially when it's too cold to be outside, and too early to be out and about!
Error, the name of the sim, is a very picturesque place. This place is not huge at all, but what it does offer is a beautifully strange backdrop for some very creative photography. There even seems to be a very small store here, selling a few unique items. The textures and images here, are very unique, created by GutterBlood Spoonhammer. I suggest playing around with your windlight settings here, as you'll probably find that there will be many beautiful looks to the already rich environment.
The New Relic --an addition to Baron Grayon's Relic to showcase glow and rendering effects. It's another beautiful use of land by Baron Grayon. The first time I went there I was in awe. It's a very different place, scary almost. The colors, lights and glow remind me of a movie i once saw with a New Orleans cemetary as the backdrop.
There are a few places within the ground here at the New Relic, very fun to play with the camera and different environmental settings!
Icarus:There's a wonderful guided tour though this land, that offers a rl version or a land tour.See heaven, hell, a holodeck, and much, much more! I will have to landmark this one for future visits as I've not enough time to see it all! Read another blog post about Icarus by clicking here.
(as archived from the Best of Second Life Blog) Back when I wrote this landmark they had Tanglewood set up for a winter scene. While Tanglewood is still there, 5 sims worth, they do not have this exact build there all the time...I suggest going and checking i tout
WINTER WONDERLAND on TANGLEWOOD A beautiful sim featuring winter landscapes and activities. Here’s the information about their grand opening as seen in their note card. I loved the ice-skating, but I think the snow ball fighting was by far my favorite...Bring your sweetie along, and dance the night away inside the indescribable crystal palace. ***Posted from notecard***
Wheat Fields at The Far Away ...Avery small but captivating locale. An interesting use of photography and prims combined. Make sure you click on the violin to see AM Radio's work. In the sky you will find information on the Heifer organization to which proceeds of any sales from here will go. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dreamworld%20North/239/138/22
